Photography came along at the right time - especially the American landscape photographer - just as the painters were discovering the landscape as a worthy subject. The film photographer of today can create color images in the Pre-Raphaelite and Impressionistic style of the 19th century which, in my opinion, is as valid an art form today as it was back then. See my images posted in The "Grand Landscape Thread.
