    Need Help to ID Tripod.

Purchased an "antique?" wooden tripod at an estate auction. Only id is on the head, "made in Germany. Don't know if pics can be posted, but will send to anyone who might help. It appears to be missing the part that connects the head to the legs.

Tripod legs fold and there is a center "slider" section on each leg, for height. There is a small "nail" protusion on top of each "slider". But nothing for the "nails" to fit into on bottom of head. The head has three metal "L" brackets on the bottom, but they do not fit the legs, which tells me there is a piece missing.

The legs and the head are of the same wood, finish and wear, which tells me they go together.

If anyone can assist me or direct me elsewhere, I will be very grateful. Thanks.

    Dumb, Dumb & Dummer!!

Sorry Folks, but you can ignore my above post. I just figured it out.

This is going to hurt....., but I had the legs upside down!! It fits together nicely, once you turn it over. And to think that I just spent three days on this!

Thanks anyway and hope you have a better day that I have.

Three days? Is that one day for each leg?

Seepaert; Something like that. I guess my "problem" mental (obviously), due in part to the way it connects, which appears that either end will fit. Except it won't!

At least I admitted my error!

    Thanks for the response anyway.
