Finally found time to develop my first few shots. I still can't believe that I didn't screw up the first batch. Here is the first:
    Chamonix 045N-2
    Schneider 150 L 5.6
    Delta 100
    D-76 1+1

My first 8x10 shot. Delta 100, 300mm. "Scanned" by holding the negative up to a window and taking a digital photo of it.

I think this was my first. Toned with Van Dyck toning. Taken with 8X10 camera and Fuji 300 5.6 wide open.

I remember my son was losing his patience, sitting in front of the big camera, and wanting to get back to his video games. The negative printed nice and I did a 16x20 that looks great. I think the scanning softened the contact print a little. Or it may be the toning.

This one is from the first four sheets of film I used in my new (at the time) 5x4 camera which I built myself.

Here is my first shot from a speed graphic. It was of the beach in Oceanside CA from the pier.

My first-ever lf shot? Why not?

Crown Graphic 4x5, I forget which model, with Fuji Velvia 50 (loaded and processed by the lab that did my 35mm). I don't remember if I had the Ektar 135 or if that particular camera came with a Xenar 150. I do remember buying a couple of lenses that year, including a convertible Symmar 210-360 because I wanted to attempt bird photography with a 4x5. That didn't go so well. Not to mention the Crown Graphic didn't have enough bellows to use that Symmar at 360.

Nice first shot... You'd have to be happy with that.
