Not my real "first," that one is lost in time. . . but this is by first 4x5 B&W shot and developed in almost 20 years, the first B&W I developed 1:100 in Rodinal, the first I developed using the taco method, and the first I "scaned" by photographing with my digital camera. OH, and the first I shot with my new Kodak 203mm.

My first one after receiving a second hand Sinar P and Caltar II-N 210mm F5.6 with Tmax 400 film..

I started with large format 4x5 around 2 months ago. Before that I started with digital for 2 years ago. Tried 6x6 hasselblad, but I did not like it. LF is a lot more relaxed.
Got someone locally that do the chemical work and scanning for now. Bought myself an v700 that is coming soon.

This is shot 4x5, but cropped square in Lightroom. scanned at over 10000pixels.. Was a shocker for me after being used to files from my 10mpx 1D MKIII.

Tnx.. .. I am not so familiar with other photographers yet. So not sure who that is, but I guess he is a good one.
I got the idea before getting the 4x5. Wanted to do a "classic" portrait like a girl with a cigarett holder, but wanted something different. Then I discovered film and large format trough a friend of mine. After that I am sold.. Even selling out on my digital stuff now.

Look up Edward Weston. But, now that I think about it, it's not really Weston it reminds me of. I'll try to remember who. Anyway, he had a very distinct style.

So I finally got an "inherited" scanner up and running a canon d1230u. Good thing I saved my old XP box, which is now purely dedicated in use for a scanner, hey free is for free you know?... Just so I proudly can share with you guys this...

...woops. Squished the film closing the slide. Better than the other side lol, which is a light leak. 1st lesson, get better loading film, check. Took this a few months ago, getting the hang of making image to the internet is a severe PIA for the first time.
