Collotype in action

For those who are interested in historical processes, I just posted a video clip of the entire process of collotype at Benrido.

Collotype is a photomechanical process where you make plate with gelatin on a glass. Benrido is a studio in Kyoto, Japan where they have been making collotype on a commercial basis over 100 years. There are two more studios like this in the world: one in Germany and Italy.
