    Strange HP B9180 printer problem...

Hello all. Here is my strange problem. My HP Photosmart B9180 can not seem to render the color red. The printer is working perfectly though. The heads are spritzing like gang busters and I use HP papers with the correct profiles. The printer however can only make a dull orange color. My Epson fax machine has no problems making red so I know that it's not a problem with the photos.

HP seems to be stumped. The printer used to make red but it can't now if that's a useful clue. All of the ink carts are fresh, I cleaned the heads yesterday and I did a fresh install of the software this afternoon. Have any of you had this problem? Any ideas?

Thanks all and have a nice weekend. -Steven

hey Steven (or anyone else!) did this issue get resolved? i have the same problem....
calibrated monitor, matching profiles in photoshop everything set up as per HP instructions, soft proof looks fine, but when we print there's almost no red in the image, it looks slightly orange and desaturated.... HP have been no help, with their usual crap suggestions of 'clean the print heads'
black and white prints are ok (if a little magenta looking sometimes)

currently this printer is a huge dead weight taking up half my desk!!

    thanks
