A particularly interesting interview and plug for a custom book printer was on The Photo Editor blog yesterday:

I thought that Edition One Studios is similar to the Booksmart printers in Rochester but they are really more like a Blurb, except with real quality control and service. They are using the same copier machines (aka presses, ie Docutechs and Indigos and Nexpresses) as the cheap Blurb/Lulu types but they actually know how to run them and check their work. (Booksmart uses high-end inkjets -- slower and more $.)

It is nice to see a service that "gets it" although "getting it" undoubtedly it costs more than a Blurb project.
