Just started a new thread. Pushed the submit button at 6:02.00 EDT, and it completed 52 seconds later.

After composing, previewing, editing and finally sending a PM this morning, with lightning-fast response times, I thought I'd post to this thread to see whether the same happened here.

OK, previewing was near-instantaneous; posting took 18 seconds.

i now have two tabs open so i can read while the post gets up there...
