The Latest View Camera Issue (March/April)

seems to be delayed again by about a month. Anyone know if this is now to be the new schedule? I hope the recession hasn't impacted the office or publication!
When I was 16 I thought my father the stupidest man in the world; when I reached 21, I was astounded by how much he had learned in just 5 years!

Nothing new. Long-time subscribers are quite used to delivery delays.

As Brian said! When I subscribed my issues would arrive on the average 30 to 60 days after the issue date. Very frustrating!

I believe it will be shipping first part of the week.

The online verison just came up late last week. Give it 4 weeks or so to get through publication and shipment (that's about what I have seen over the past 3 issues). Hang tight - it'll get there.

On a personal note, I have an article in the latest issue about using large format in today's commercial marketplace. It also includes some of my commercial images. For those of you who subscribe, I welcome your thoughts.

    Thanks,
    Randy

Did you get paid for it yet? I'm still trying to collect on an article from 16 months ago.

Re: The Latest View Camera Issue (March/April)

Sadly, and I mean really sadly because I liked the spirit of the magazine a lot, View Camera is one of the most amateurishly produced enterprises I've ever dealt with. I was once a subscriber, but no more. I don't give a rat's rump how much Steve Simmons rants and rails, he just doesn't have the chops to be a pro. If the magazine shows up someday again on the shelf at a bookstore, I'll read it, and perhaps buy it if it interests me, but I'm not holding my breath.
