Conveting Pict pict files to JPG

I'm trying to help out a fellow forum member with his scanning software. Mine runs on a G4 with OS 9.2. I've managed to take a number of windows captures, but they're in the Mac pict format. Does anyone know how to convert these to jpg format without having to pay for special software?

I know in CS4 Photoshop I can save jpg to pict format. I run windows, so if you have PS4, see if 'save as' will help.

Graphic converter, as its name implies, converts from just about any image format to just about any other:

It's "annoy-ware." It's free if you don't mind it bugging you for payment every time you launch it which, if you'll just use it for a few files, is probably OK. If you're going to depend on it, pay the $20 (or 20 Euros).

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, I don't have CS4 yet. Drew, Graphic Convert works great. Thanks! I had tried two converters on my PC, but they didn't work well. I didn't even think of using a converter on the Mac. Duh!
