    Yeah, Steve is a GREAT black and white photographer and printer, and an accomplished aerial photographer as well. Steve and I rented a single engine plane once out of Moab and flew over the Maze in Canyonlands to do some aerial shots. His shots are "there". Mine were a blurry mess. Maybe I won't be the next Bradford Washburn, methinks.

    I have an older book by Dick Arentz- "Canyon Country"? that I like. Images from before he did platinum, I think. But I haven't seen it in years; it's filed *somewhere*.

    Yes, Dick did a lot of B&W work. The book is called "Four Corners Country"

    Two more B&W photographers to note for the SW are
    John Sexton (see his Anazazi ruins in "Places of Power"
    and of course Bruce Birnbaum who consistently mispells slot canyons (gee, at least he uses Slit Canyons...a replacement of slot's o with a u could have been more tragic ;-)
