    This is an incredible picture! I live this lens. At first read, I thought it was your Eidoscope lens.

    Not the Eidoscope, it's an Eoscope! It was made for G.Gennert by the Montauk Camera Co. and it is a Petzval. New (old) lens I got from Richard Rankin a couple of months ago. Just now getting to try it out. Says 5 x 7 on the lens, but at portrait distance it covers the 8 x 10 just fine. Nice look to it and it didn't cost me both arms and legs like some of the portrait lenses do these days.

    Here's another one - No name Petzval - about 8" focal length. This was not taken in Japan, it was actually taken in Edward Weston's garden in Carmel! I was really pushing the size limits of this lens - got a little vignetting in the corners and lost some of the detail around the edges.

    Image from this last week...little experiment...expired TMX (2002 - stored room temp+)...

    Eastman View #2 - 5 1/2" Darlot Magic Lantern Petzval - approx 2 seconds - approx F4
    Tmax 100 - D76 - Print Scan (little all-in-one scanner) - Expired Ilford MG - Dektol - (work print)

    Critiques welcome, and appreciated...
