Thank you Arne Croell! Do you know is some of them was coated?

I have a 59cm Zeiss Apo-Planar, and it is superb. Use it for portraiture in 8x10 on my Sinar Norma. And Yes, it is very different from the Rodenstock Apo-Ronars, I have those, in barrel, from 150mm to 600mm. It is not a dialyte type of design.
To be honnest...... my Sinar 8x10 P2 goes to 2x30cm monorail, beyond that I will have to buy some parts: more monorail and at least one standard (F) so I can mount the 4x5" bellows to the 8x10" bellows.
If you realy want to long with the Sinar, and you can, you need a setup with 2 monorail supports, Sinar has that part.
I realy never thought of mounting anything bigger than a 480mm on that camera, it is mostly used at 4x5" with 4x5" rear standard frame and bag-bellows for my wide angles.

Sinar also made a special 8x10 to 5x7 bellows. That way for really long lens use, you could use a sinar P 8x10/4x5 front, a 5x7" bellows, a 5x7 F standard for joining the bellows, a 5x7 to 8x10 bellows, and an 8x10 rear standard and frame. The problem with this setup is that some of the parts are hard and expensive to come by.
I have used the setup that Archphoto talks about, basically the same setup just described but with 4x5 bellows and f-standard. It works fine as long as you don't need a tremendous amount of movements.
If you do ever use such a huge extension, make sure to use a lens shade as there will probably be a ton of light bouncing around the bellows otherwise.
To use my 590mm Zeiss Apo-Planar on my 8x10 Sinar Norma, I put together the 8x10 Norma Bellows, to Norma Intermediate Standard, to Norma Front standard, with the 4x5 Norma Bellows. Works great for close-shooting, no problems at all. Use the Norma shutter, my Apo-Planar has been forward-mounted, so it works just great in barrel mount.
The late German photographer Reinhart Wolf used a setup like that to photograph the tops of skyscrapers for his book "New York", published about 25 years ago. There's an illustration of his gear in the book- almost as impressive as his pictures. If you like long lenses and big cameras, find yourself a copy .
My friend just bought this!
