What is a reasonable price for a 9 1/2" gold dot in a shutter? Assuming, of course it is clean?

There is no such thing as a "Reasonable" price for a 9 1/2" Gold Dot Dagor. They are all grossly overpriced.

I bought one in Copal that has a very, very slight separation in the front cell that's only really visible if you remove the cell from the shutter, but otherwise perfect, for $550. If it's truly mint and pretty in a factory mount, I'd probably start it at $650-750 and see what you get.

Before the meltdown I remember watching one go for $1800 on evilbay. Money is tighter now but the rare stuff still finds buyers.
shoot. So the 9 1/2" draws a bigger price tag than the 12"? I better start trying to find that money tree...
No, the 9-1/2" should be cheaper. You can probably find a nice shooter for $600 $700 range. Even though times are tight, the really pretty, near mint stuff like Dagors, Deardorffs, Cookes, etc. seem to be holding up quite well.

a 12" Dagor goldring in Ilex, (shutter need cleaned)cost me 1295.00 @ B&H in 97
$1295 wouldn't be unreasonable today although the money is worth less.
