Great stuff Holden! Another 5x7 user here - recently acquired a 150 G-Claron to go between a 120 and 210...but somehow I think something more "165-ish" would fit perfectly, both visually and proportionally. So...you like your Paragon?

I do but it only stops down to f/32 so I have a K2 on it to give it a stop more. Not in a shutter, if you're not afraid of barrel lenses its a bargain. I only own a couple lenses in shutters and I infrequently use them. I think your 150 sounds ideal if it covers. I may yet get one for my 5x7. I will keep an eye out for your photographs...

Final version of Amicalola Creek III image. My first post of it in this thread (#5556) was an iphone app scan and altered in PS. This is an almost straight scan of the print and has a different tonality. I decided merely to warm it up a bit rather than going full on brown.
Printed on Ilford MGFB Classic in LPD 1:2, Selenium toned 1:24 for 3 minutes, Ferri/bromided bleach 1 minutes (very dilute), Thiourea toner 28A/28B/500water for 3-4 minutes until bleached tones came back. Print scanned, cropped, spotted, and sharpened. Image has some scanner blurriness at top that is not in the image.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
