I'm kinda "on the fence" about this... So I shot it anyways to see how it's look. Still on the fence. It's certainly more abstract than representational or romantic inspired soft landscape. Many photos I post on the Internet won't be portfolio grade, but I'm interested in the journey of photography and seeing as much as anything. 4x5, 7.25" Verito, tmy2 in pyrocat hdc.

I like this one the best of the series

JP - I really like the way the snow creams up with the diffusion or softness of your work posted here. And I also like the more abstract .

How deep is that water?? I imagine underwater scene of those tree stumps would be intriguing.

    Bob,

It looked to be about 4 feet deep at the stumps.... but that is a wild guess since the water looked a bit murky as it got farther from the shore. It was so peaceful and quiet there as the sun was low in the sky and almost no wind. Wish I could have spent more time there as I had another of the Blair wooden film holders loaded.

These snowscapes are very thoughtful compositions that, for me, are excellent examples of “the weeding out of extraneous information” in order to add a layer of abstraction. Very satisfying work, all of it.
