Actually not much of a political issue -- built in 1910 to supply power for a mining opperation, which it did for less than a year. It was removed in the 1930's due to is uselessness and its blocking the migration of salmon (and now the whitewater rafting)
Don't know why anyone would pity such a dam.

Thanks Joel.
Since this dam was removed to allow the Salmon to make their 900 mile migration, it is seen as a symbol for removing three of the remaining eight dams that they must pass through to get to this one.

One of the first I made with the 4x5, and the only one I've ever had scanned on a drum scanner.

Another from the same time and place as the previous post. Scanned on a 4990 flat on bed.

Zaitz, thats one of the best ice shots I've seen! It looks alive!
Are we missing a page? Just wanted to say, I liked Austin's 2nd tree grove photo the best. I liked the third, but thought there was tension in it.

Another great ice shot Zaitz. I'm inspired to go up to Mt. Hood and look for some winter.
The Salzspeicher in Lübeck. The lighting was not ideal, but, like most of my vacation photography, I had only one opportunity. 4x5 Shanghai 100 in D76. I have not printed this yet. Criticism and suggestions welcome.
