Smile I'm a beginner I want buy an used lens

Good morning, this is the first time that I write on this very beautiful forum.
I'm near to buy a new Chamonix 45 n-1 and I need a lens for it.
In consideration of the high cost of a new lens I want buy an used item.
I want use the camera for architecture photography.
The camera use the linhof board.
I haven't again understood very well why there are various type Copal lensen, and in this moment I don't know what is the better lens for me (I have an idea about the 75/5,6 Super angulon, but ).
For me is better (if possible) buy the used lens in Europe.
Sorry if my English is not very well

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards

Hello! And welcome to the forum!

Copol is the brand name of only of the shutter (and they are good shutters, also). They come in different sizes depending on the physical size of the lens (not necessarily the focal length of the lens).

I would say a lens from 75mm to 90mm would be a good starting point for architecture. I do not do much of that type of photography, so I will leave it at that and let others with more knowledge continue.

No, Copol is a company that develops custom CPP film products.

The 75/5,6 Super Angulon is a great lens. If you can afford one that's fine but a 90 degree is also excellent and might be more affordable and less money. The Copal shutters are excellent and highly recommended.

The lens manufacturer selects the best shutter that the lens elements are fitted into. You will find a rear element and a front element with the shutter in between.

    Good luck

Don't worry about your English -- it is perfectly descriptive.
There is a huge price differential between a f:5.6 lens and a f:8.0 lens. Also, with the faster lens you will need a (very expensive) center filter. The faster lens will show a brighter image on the ground glass for focusing and composition, but since you will be making your exposures at much higher apertures there is little to be gained from the faster lens.
