    Cultural absurdity

    I found this today:

It's a (vignette reducing) crop of this (lord knows how long it'll manage to stay up):

What is this, Iran or something? Some people need to get their heads out of their asses. It's a photograph of a nude figure statue for creep's sake. Twice removed from the revolting *horror* of the life-giving breast.

I guess I can see the logic. We wouldn't want children exposed to Eve's Organ of Lucifer.

Funny artikel. However unbelievable that people actually find stone breasts of a statue offensive. Pieces of a human being blown to bits and so on that is ok but a naked human....hell and damnation for those who see it. Let's go back to the times that a naked ankle was considered porn.

Well... I'd better get this end before this thread is closed for being political...

If this were not so sad, it would be comical. Show all the gun play, murder and cadaver dissection on prime time tv as you want, but a breast, deliverer of mother's milk, heaven forbid. This country has been moving backwards culturally since the 80s. No wonder so much of the rest of the world regards us as barbarians, sans culture. Sad.

Now then... just where did I put that passport..?

It might not be the breast, but the shadow "down south".

I remember reading something about government censorship offices designating pubic hair as obscene throughout the 20th century.
