    Okay, not shot on LF, but does convey to me a sense of 'aliveness'

    Your picture Andrew reminds me of one of mine taken in a cemetery in Charleston. The old tree is quite literally engulfing Mikell's 1896 gravestone - as if the "aliveness" is oozing out from the grave into the tree. Curiously, the gravestone has the most uninspiring epitaph engraved that I've ever seen ... "A Favorite with all who knew him". If that's the best anyone can do for me then I'd rather mine were blank.

    When I was in Europe during the '60s (military service) and visited the old cathedrals, I always worried about the gargoyles talking to me, as if alive. But, I was never able to capture the motion blur on film of their lips moving.

    Later, my cameras started talking to each other, as shown in my avatar.
