    Hello, from North Texas

    Hello, everyone;
From about an hour north of DFW.
Just registered, though I have made the occasional lurk here for quite a while.

Christmas time found me spending some Gift money on a well used Omega 45D.
Basically got 2 good lenses at a very fair price (compared to ebay), and a camera with a leaky old bellows. funny how that works....

Film wise I also enjoy using Nikon F4, F100 and N80, along with a Pentax 645.
All of them are always loaded and ready for Bear Develop the B&W in the bathroom, in a not-so-terribly-scientific manner. Which leads to a few suprises
flat-bed scan mostly, but do have a Omega 45 universal enlarger in great condition. takes up half the bathroom. Wife hates it.

I am something of an old fart, with delusions of photographic granduer, so do bear with me at times

    Re: Hello, from North Texas

Sounds like you would enjoy joining our small group of "old geezer" photogs. that go out almost every Sat. morning and find something to shoot in the DFW metroplex.

We usually shoot with large format cameras, but have been known to use medium format, 35mm, or digicams if not in the mood to drag out the "big guns".

We figure that a day spent out in the field with a camera is not counted against our lifetimes.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we meet for breakfast and talk photography.

If you would like to join us, you can call me, Eugene Singer, at 214-924-3223. I live in Frisco.

We are always glad to add another person to our group.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I cant' let this opportunity get away. Is it really safe to come out like this in DFW? I mean, the last time I came across a fellow film shooter in this area was years ago at a wedding where the bride handed out a bunch of disposable cameras for her guest to shoot candids. I'm thrilled! Can I play too? Please, please? I've got a couple of 4x5 cameras with two or three lenses some where in my closet. My wife likes to sleep late on Saturday so I should be able to slip away...What cha say guys? Huh?

Rick, give me a call. We'd be glad to have you join our little group.

Just talked to Bryan. He's a LF newbie, lives nearby, and we're getting together tomorrow to check out his newly acquired LF camera.
