Yes indeed I saw this face too and I was thinking of a monster lokking like the one from the film eraserhead hidden in this tortured trunk...

Got to go back to make more photos with my newly bought Sinar F2 , some black and white shots of the trunk may be nice !

I should have noticed that there was a thread for the trees... sorry...

And about the greenish aspect I will ask the technician to get rid of it, I suk at photoshop and such, and I wish I could make my colour prints in my darkroom like the black and white ones...
Large format photography is not only about size.

Thanks David. Now that I have mounted my favourite 150mm on the Saber I am happy like a pig in the mud.

    One more

A spot of IR at a local(-ish... 150km drive) winery:

Toyo 45A, 150mm, f/22, IR820+R72, xtol. Not particularly keen on the composition here, mainly because the windmill (intended to be a major element!) is practically invisible.

Fantastic. Is the ex-Maco still at about ASA 6? Thinking about getting a box of it soon.

I shoot it at EI1, Sunny-16 and (Chinese clone) R72, i.e. f/16 1s full sun. It has so much shadow detail that you could shoot it a couple stops faster but it has a big uptick in the curve that really calls for a little more exposure to bring it down to the midtones.

Wow, thats beautiful Frank. Almost like a monochrome foreground that transitions into a radiant backround/sky.
