Taken in Haslat Saudi Arabia. Under the mountain between fallen rocks as big as a van, you can't help fearing that the whole thing crumbles on you. The only question is how fast can i run to this opening if it falls.
when you go out, you start wondering. how many thousands of years passed since the two rocks leaned on each other.
That reminds me of Pinnacles just down the road from here. Very nice!

    Ari & J. Fada,

Thanks. I have to admit that this was not exactly the picture I had hoped to make. The sun was setting behind me and there was a nice soft glow illuminating the road signs. Literally as I was about to click the shutter the sun sank and the light faded, so this image is not quite what I was going for--a bit dark--but I like it just fine.

    Matt,

Beautiful image. Makes me want to look back and see if any of my Velvia shots are worth converting!

On my side, I love the color picture. The composition, the tones, the colors. It's very peacefull and mesmerizing at the same time.
But i'm a sucker for velvia

I see the horizon a bit tilted, maybe it's me though.

    beautiful image - very restfull.
I assume that you played with the cropping to get the best effect.

    Thanks!

I didn't crop on the horizontal axis. When I was setting up on a brushy hillside, I had to be a bit of a contortionist in order to have the tree placed in the proper position relative to the rocks. I don't mind the full frame image, but after scanning, I decided to crop the excess water at the top of the image and make a panoramic out of the shot. BTW, this was a 30 minute exposure.
