That line was just sheer luck. There was a huge dark cloud in the sky casting that shadow but left what appears to be a white line in the distance. I have a follow up image with the ground all lit with no dark shadows.

That actually isn't Highway 190. It truly was just desert before the mountain. This was taken in one of the big salt flats in Death Valley. Can't remember which one, I would have to ask my buddy that was with me that day.

Now, looking at both versions, I'm not sure which I prefer. I think the white line is still a little more interesting. I can't wait to go back to DV, that place really is a like an amusement park for Medium and Large Format Photographers!
