Holden, Beautifully done !

I know just enough to be dangerous !
Thanks !
Very nicely done. Good sense of depth and good composition. Well crafted. Excellent.
As everyone says, Holden, very nice image. I agree with Renato that the overexposure on the rock-tops are a pity . . . in the olden days, one solution would be to make a duplicate negative (for security, so as to leave the original negative untouched) and then "paint" a potassium permanganate type reducer onto the rocks. This reducer does add some graininess ... but in fact that would probably look pretty good on those rocks anyway.
Just a thought. Hope it helps!
Congratulations on your image.
When faced with the tonal problems of the rocks, I often throw water onto them if it is practical - or have someone else do it for me - prior to taking the image. It cuts down the higher tonal values on the rocks themselves and makes printing that much easier.
