Stone, the horse in the center has reminded me of AA's comment, when displaying his Winter Sunrise during a talk at a local university, that he waited for about 20 minutes for the horse to turn sideways and become a horse.

Robert,
I admire your Shiprock work immensely. Have you considered making a book of them? They deserve much wider exposure and the very best presentation.
Thanks, we had a quiet afternoon. I keep Shiprock on my iphone weather list. Pretty cool up there right now.
I've floated a book around and am REALLY hunting for a show. Going to flack it heavily at Fotofest in Houston in March. Some curator should do a Shiprock omnibus show. Painting, photos, the works. It's a major site that doesn't get much attention. If you have some specific press or curator that I might approach, please IM me. I'm out showing it. Happy for any suggestions.
Would love to get a moonrise from this spot. You just have to be super-careful driving over the toe of the dike from the South side- big car/truck trap on the left and you can't see it because the hood of the car is up in the sky. Often a truck upside down in the bottom. The Three Brothers, (three personable rock stacks on the end of the dike that get sung by locals now and then), do it for fun, I think.
Arnaud, Emma, and I'm on the Expedition waiting for the light to form up.
