I really like this. It makes me feel if I lean forward I'm going to fall straight down into the canyon.

Then there's the patterns and forms of the canyon walls. At first glance, it looks like an abstract, then you look closer and there's so much detail.

Would love to see a print in person.

    Good job!

This was a biggy for me! Hardly an original location or compositional idea, but the first decent (well in my opinion anyway) "big view" that I took with a large format camera back in December 2013. Just got round to learning how to scan Velvia, so it's taken some time!! Below Stanage Edge, Peak District, UK on a windy amazing morning:

Very nice shot there, great colors. It's an original location for those of us who have never been to the UK

Interesting perspective, always nice to see something pleasantly different, romantic almost.

    Re: Large Format Landscapes

Cheers folks! The Millstones in the foreground are very typical sights in the Peak District, where their production was one of the main medieval industries of this area. Eventually, they fell out of favour as white bread became popular in the UK as these stones turned flour grey and many were just abandoned from where they came. The bracken always turns this lovely colour in winter.
