Last Friday I went to a new state park called Chattahoochee Bend. Found this gorgeous tree hanging on to the edge of this ravine cut by a creek draining into the Chattahoochee River. After I snapped a couple photos with my 35mm, I started to setup my 6x15 camera closer and on the very steep ravine edge. It was very muddy but there was a tree root I was using as a ledge. Well, after shifting my feet a couple times and getting my shoes muddy, I slipped off the root. I barely grabbed a higher up root with my right hand before slipping completely down the ravine into the creek below. So then I was hanging by one hand on the root, while being completely unable to get any purchase on the muddy hill.
Some folks actually walked by since it was right off the trail, and didn't even glance my way as I was hanging there. I was kinda embarrassed so I said nothing. I finally got my other hand onto the root, then kicked the muddy hill and dug out a hole so I could get some purchase on the hill, and then hauled myself up and out. Was sore all weekend from hanging there for so long. Is kinda funny now. I wasn't in any danger, just would've gotten wet and extremely muddy if I'd have fallen all the way down.
Anyway, here is one of the 35mm photos I took. Haven't finished the 6x15 or 6x9 rolls of film I was shooting. Yes I did still shoot some photos (carefully!).
