Edgar Praus's lab, he uses XTOL I think. Note that I really mess around a lot in Photoshop so the tones you see are not really "straight". Oh and that was the 15 year old Tri-X -- I just got some new negs back and the emulsion is starting to lift on some of them, so using that old cheap film has its consequences after all (but most of it has been fine and I just pushed the development 15%.)

But that is from the 14" Ektar ;-) Wonderful out of focus areas while still being nice and crisp/sharp -- probably the nicest portrait and general purpose lens I've used on large format.

    Hi Guys,

Didn't post any new portraits for a while, since I was working hard on a show on teachers and students in science. I did 12 portraits for the royal academy of science in the Netherlands, and the show was opened today. If you feel like looking:

They were all done with an agfa ansco 8*10, whichi is a challenge with double portraits, to put it mildly. Hope you enjoy!

    kind regards

    stefan

Very nice work, Stefan. They have a very relaxed feel, particularly considering how hard it can be to get two people in focus with short depth of field.

This is the reason why I probably won't have much time presenting new work in the near future. His name is "Matěj" (Mathias). And he was born today...

(sorry, it's a quick digital snap. I didn't take my LF with me to the hospital )

I hope he will provide some material for interesting portraits, though...

And I'm going off to celebrate...
