    Talking Hi form Beijing China!

    Hi all,

I'm paul, new to LF. I like black and white film, and I've been shooting large format for about 10 years, mostly on my SHENHAO 4X5.I like to shoot landscapes, architecture, culture, and with 120 and 4x5 film.
I generally use standard lens, and I rarely use long focus lens or wide-angle lens.

Over the past two years, I'm also very interested in classical photographic process, especially the cyanotype(blue print).

I came across this forum a while back and very love here.

    Cheers!

    Hi Paul,

I have a Shen Hao 4x5 camera too, I use a 210mm on it for the most part. When I began to do photography in a serious way all I had was a Mamiya 645 and the "normal" 80mm lens. It doesn't take a lot of hardware to do great work. Now I have a lot of equipment but when I photograph I keep it simple as in the first days.

    Welcome here,
    tr

Welcome from Washington DC, and another fellow Shen-Hao 4x5 user. Although I'm mostly using bigger formats these days (5x7, 5x12 and 6.5 x 8.5), I still have my Shen and regard it with fondness.

Hi Paul, welcome from the west coast of Canada. I used to spend a lot of time in your country (mostly in Heilongjiang Province), but at the time I wasn't much into photography. You have a lot of beautiful things for subjects.
