Thanks Kirk! I am pretty critical of my own work. I just wish the pillars had more shape from some better lighting perhaps.

I don't mind at all and I usually post them on another forum. It's always a bit tricky since some people don't look at post processing in a good light. I can get you the original of that image when I get home. Here is the straight raw scan of my previous church image (should work, I can't see imageshack at work):

I am trying to work more with masked curves adjustment layers versus the dodge and burn tool in CS5. The straight scan of the one you are asking for is pretty much the same. Very light and flat.

Not meaning to be critical, but...

Why can't you get that on the original negative rather than resorting to computer enhancement.

It appears to be a pretty normal scene/subject.

The lighting would have completely prohibited that final result. The statue wasn't really receivng any direct strong light and was in shadow. The statue and middle area required ample dodging. Certainly impossible to achieve on the negative.

A few from the vaults. Not exactly a church, but all made inside a church. Does that count?

Nice pics, Austin. I live not far from the Grotto but I've never been. I used to walk by there all the time but never ventured in. Maybe I should....
