My experiance with b&w film doesn't span very far, not quite a year.. I print very few images and I have just basic knowlege of what a good negative is supposed to look like.. Nothing worse then trying to appraise an image with a non-working program ,scanner..
The PC loaded with scanwizard pro seems to work much better... Not a drum scan by any means but at least they show correct exposure and my whites really are white

I have a similar amount of large format experience and similar experiences with less than ideal hardware and software. Steve, you are doing fine. Your progress exceeds mine so far.

Thank you Wayne you are so kind to say that.. You know, it's a very liberating feeling knowing that all along the scanner was fooling me and not me fooling me..

I had to do everything known to man to try and fix those scans to anything near close to right..

Now I can get on with my journey,, sky is the limit

I too experienced a Revelation: moving from a 35mm only scanner and yucky software to an ancient but useful large format Epson scanner and Epson Scan software. I also discovered that I had a few decent 6x6 and 6x7 negatives to work with. My 4x5 negatives are improving slowly.

Indeed. It's all uphill from here!

I guess this counts for a church.

The remainings of the Finland's first church at Turku. Church was here at 13th century. Now there are only remains of stone foundation. And a cross for memorial.

Church at Ma Ma Creek outside of Brisbane. Taken on 4x5 Maco IR820Aura . It is an interesting place, the church is always locked but is in good repair. I think it might get used once per month at most.
