Sorry, looks like cash back is a US promotion - any relatives over here? 30% off a
Feisol would be a nice discount.

    Re: Feisol Advice

I'm using a 3371 since a couple of years with a Sinar C. I also use a Sinar pan/tilt head. I'm very pleased with this combination. I don't think I could find anything which would be substancially more stable while being portable, i.e. on this side of 6-7 kilos.
I would get a 3372 if I had to get a new one today. (Since it's slightly lighter than the 3371.)

The Microsoft Live Search Cashback rebate details were posted by Kerry Thalmann here: http://www.largeformatphotography.in...ad.php?t=41336

One more reason I want the Feisol is the short folded length. My Slik is 33" without the head.

Anybody wants to help me get this offer?

    Cheers,
    Kumar

    Re: Feisol Advice

I have a Feisol 3401. It can be used with my Arca Swiss Discovery but I use only as an "ultra light" travel set up. My normal tripod is a Gitzo 1325. The Gitzo is far more stable and sturdy than the Feisol with the Arca, but costs alot more. If I was using a scanning back I'd want that stability.

However, the Feisols are really decent tripods for the price, so if the specs look similar to a good sized Gtzo I think you would be ok.

Hey, thanks for the tip. I have been waiting in the wings to buy a Feisol so this is opportune. I followed your instructions. the catch is that you have to sign up for a type of Microsoft account where they somehow send you advertising. When I followed the link I was able to get a 25% discount. According to the rules I read, the limits are $200 per purchase and $2500 per year. Not bad. I ordered the Feisol 3442.
