Fuji PA-45 holder: darkslide supposed to be loose?

I just bought a used Fujifilm PA-45 pack film holder and the darkslide is very loose. It doesn't wobble around in the track, but there's almost no friction, and it slides out from gravity alone. Is this normal?

Mine had the same problem. I have bent it slightly and solve the problem.

Mine is nice and tight. Not difficult to remove at all, but it won't remove itself!

I bought mine very cheap in japan not in good shape and it was heavily used but functional. For mine the gap was really worn out for heavy use. Still, it doesn't fall out by gravity.

Other than that, it still works with no problem at all. It is well made, better than Polaroid.

The friction... is like me and my wife (all those after 24 years.)
