Bill, that is correct. This is an effort to help young photographers, and the guidelines are set by the sponsor. There is a tremendous amount of traditional photography being done by young people, and the encouragement afforded by Kim and Gina is wonderful. If you take a look at the past entrants, you should observe a very high level of creativity and originality.
Domenico, your comments mean a lot, thank you. I have a habit of exhibiting my most recent work, always a risky proposition!
I know that you have an appreciation for helping younger photographers, from a project that you mentioned a year or two ago. I hope that it came to fruition.
I trust that you are busy with new work, also.
Thanks again,
Merg
Great program and not that it matters but i thought it was kind of ironic that the kids can't submit digital work but a number of the photographs being auctioned are digital prints. Wonder what the kids have to say about that.
Merg,
Great image you have in there!
This is a great cause and I hope it raises a lot of money for the young photographers.

great stuff! i think it is a great idea to keep it to traditional entries....there is an over abundance of digital stuff readily available. it is nice to see some other areas.
