    Good Morning..

    Hi everyone

I have finally joined this forum, having recently purchased a Shen-Hao 4x5 from Badger Graphics with a 150 lens. I have however been shooting 4x5 for years, by relying on my job as a photographic technician at Unitec for borrowing various cameras. I had been using a Speed graphic a lot, and I loved it, but the lack of movements does get frustrating. I guess if I had owned it I would have modified it for front tilt as I have read you can do.

I pretty much only shoot landscapes. It's what I love. I look forward to getting to know others on this forum.

    Karen

Welcome Karen! What types of landscapes do you like to shoot?

Good question John. I guess I try to avoid the prevalent "beautiful New Zealand", calendar-type imagery, while being attracted to a more prosaic kind of landscape. I photograph landscapes that portray traces on the land of human history and habitation etc. Richard Misrach and Thomas Struth have been big influences in the past, while more recently I have been attracted to Joachim Koester's work.
