    Hello from Reno

I'm just getting into LF. I'm the sort of guy that checks the depth of a stream with both feet at once.

In 2006, my daughter asked for medium format camera for Christmas. How many sixteen year olds do that? A few months later I got her a Nikon digital camera for graduation. As she spent more time with the D200, I found myself using the medium format myself. It turned out to be more fun than I expected. I wanted my own but it seemed kind of wasteful to have two medium formats in the same household so I took it to the next level:

There's a wealth of information on this site. I'm building a darkroom sink with the design I found here. Thanks to those who share their knowlege here.

Welcome aboard! That's one nice Calumet you've got there!

Thanks Jim and Jim. I was thinking of going to Berlin and Manhattan (Nevada) some time this fall. As I recall, there are some good landscape subjects down that way. I know there are some good subjects in Rhyolite & Goldfield. The bottle houses are still pretty intact if I remember right.

    My first attempt:

These are scanned from the negative. My scanner will only do 2-1/4" wide backlit so I couldn't get the whole thing. I'm about 1/2 done with my darkroom so hopefully that won't be an issue soon.

I could use some help with this one. It's "lifeless". By the time I got to the place, the sun had come out. That kind of ruined things for me. I was thinking about a red filter. Any suggestions?
