    Epson 3800 will not print

I wanted to print with the 3800 and the job box states the "printer is currently off-line". I checked all connections, they are OK. I could not check ink levels nor do a nozzle check. Turned off printer and computer and waited a minute, turned the printer on and then the computer. Now I can do check for ink and do a nozzle check. All OK. Tried to print and I am back to the printer being off-line. Down-loaded a new copy of the driver from Epson web page, lost all of the profiles I had loaded for Epson and other papers and the printer is still off-line. What has happened? Has anyone else had this problem and if so what should I do?

    Thanks for any help.

Call Epson. Meanwhile, try powering off the printer and then back on again several more times. The most bizarre problem I've had is the 3800 "losing" inks. Always at power on. It tells me various inks are not installed, when they clearly are. Powering off and on always cures it. I would also try stopping jobs and then restarting them.
