Dear Denise,
I like the composition and I like what you have done...
As a side note, I would not be afraid about posting any image within this group, because there are several qualified individuals within this group that can assist you with almost any scanning issue you may encounter. I also believe that an unwritten rule exists within this forum regarding critiques, which I welcome openly because this forum, compared to other internet image forums that happen to be flooded with thousands of images every day, does not contain any "armchair critics."
If an armchair critic does exist within this forum, he or she happens to be very, very quiet about their possibly pointed criticism. If an unwarranted critique ever arose, I would probably confront the author of the critique and ask them for their qualifications. You also have many peers that could learn a technique or two from your portraiture work, where I would be one, because I am terribly weak at those skill sets.
That said, I welcome any photographic interests that you display, as would many other image makers within this group.

Dear Jim;
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement.

What Jim said, Denise. And too, you tackled an extremely contrasty scene and held all the detail which is not easily done, IMO.
Great images everyone...
An image from the past that shows a segment of Sherbrooke Creek, which flows into the mighty Kicking Horse River, near the base of Mount Paget.

Really beautiful image Jim, very painterly!
Dear Kev,
Merci...
I remember that I became thoroughly waterlogged, while capturing that image. I realize too, that I should have wrote that Sherbrooke Creek ran along and near the base of Paget Peak, not Mount Paget. Old worn field notes, and older eyes...
