I do photography for fun, just like most folks here. To me, there is no discussion of art versus craft or fine art versus commercial art or pride versus prejudice. I take photographs of things or people that interest me. I do sell some prints and I do take on one or two assignments a year. Not because I want to make money, but because that annual art show I attend will always net at least one sale, and that, along with the commercial assignment I accept means I can deduct all of my photography related expenses when I file my taxes.

If somebody else sees a print along the way and asks to purchase one, I'm happier than a pig in...it flatters me greatly. But I'm more inclined to see somebody's work on the forum and swap for one of their prints. I almost always try to get involved in the annual print exchange. Those are the prints that hang on the walls in my home and at my office.
