Iris: a new photo editor (OS X only) Supports profiles

Iris, a new photo editor, has been released.

It appears to have many rich features, and a low price. It also seems to have a much more simple and effective user interface.

It is for Mac OS X only.

    See http://nolobe.com/iris/

(I'm not affiliated in any way).

Do you think is to be compared to Photoshop or Aperture?

It's a bit heavy and slow yet, though the features are simple - simpler than PS element.
There's no curve control. Layer is supported.
Some user interface features are better than PS.
But it's still buggy - I think I can't use if for any serious work.

I just played with it while sitting in an endless meeting. Doesn't seem to be able to handle 16/48-bit, which should be a killer for most folks here. It's $10 less than elements ($80 vs. $90), based on the Apple Store price. Elements is also 8/24-bit only, so it might be a good elements substitute.
