A bit late to this, but then was waiting for my new Richard Ritter 7x11/8x10 - and it arrived TODAY!!

All of the good things you have heard are true about the Ritter Cameras, the fit/finish and the functionality are top notched - Richard IS a master camera maker.

Just an update (ok maybe brag a little too), took the Ritter out this past weekend and the weight of the camera really was nice after going up and down to the river at Guadalupe River State Park. It was a real pleasure (not that this out of shape old fart did not notice) to move camera, tripod and film and holders up and down - would have noticed the extra 10 lbs. had it been the old Eastman No 2. The camera has more movements than one will ever use and the bail back sure does make life easier.

Thanks again, Richard, this camera sure put the fun back into field photography for me.

What type of roadway were you on? Standing on the roof with a driver's side door open? I've seen this type of parking in Zion a few times.

I finally got a picture of me and my recently finished Walnut 11x14 and tripod out in the Redwoods at Prairie Creek State Park. The tripod has a Gitzo 1570 M low profile head and comes in at 15 lbs. and the 11x14 is 16 lbs. My Hybrid Voigtlander 18" lens in up front. Just developed the neg from this set up and it looks good.
