Sometimes the wide angle lens has glass that protrudes beyond the front of the lens support tube, so that cage protects a lens in case of camera tipping.

    Dan,

I participate in the Ilford run of film that they run annually. I shoot FP4 for it. It goes about 22 dollars a sheet if my memory/math is right. I only did that equation once in my head and have never gone back to torture myself with such mathmatics again--much too painful.

When I have film I shoot it, when I don't I save up!

Whoa, I went all the way back to page 1 out of curiousity with the cost per sheet comment. Weird, a normal headshot with that camera would be a macro shot with greater than 1:1 Do you have any more shots of it?

In the three and a half years I've lived in Turkey I've yet to see anyone else using an LF camera or even MF, and the only film cameras (all 35mm) have been visiting American tourists.

I return to the UK to be more social
