Thread: Show off your Large Format camera!

Re: Show off your Large Format camera!

Collecting Kardan Color parts on Ebay, each part at a time for the last five years or so, I managed to assemble a simple configuration of a duplex 8x10.

The tripod and the tilt-swing head, were there long before.

Nice work! I see you have the 3 part rail which is hard to find. I also have a couple of these fantastic cameras.

Thanks Moe. The long monorail is essential for using my (other) 42" bellows with long lenses such as the Fujinon EBC T 400mm/f8 or the T 600mm/f12.

The bellows shown above is the standard 24" bellows.

So basically, with the 42" bellows, I don't really need a Triplex configuration.

However, turning this assembly into a Triplex configuration is relatively easy now, since all it takes is the addition of a 5x7 front standard and a short 5x7 bellows, which are part of my existing 5x7 camera which was bought as a whole, complete with a recessed lens-plate and compendium.

Linhof Master Technika Classic and Rodenstock Apo-Sironar S 180mm f/5.6, quickly shot with an iPad:

Usually I attach it to a Gitzo Traveller 2 and Markins Traveller Q3 Head with Arca-compatible plate, which is a fine combination for hiking and cycling.

    Good to meet you.

I tame it with the Linhof Geared Dolly. Big wheels and stronger than the tripod!

Arca Swiss F-Metric Field camera with Hasselblad film back...
I hardly ever shoot this way, but I was showing it in this configuration and thought it would be interesting for this thread.
