Not a camera I own, but one which was lend to me, features in a small stop motion video I created. The dream of a Linhof Kardan Master GTL can be found here:

I'm also working on a series of taking pictures of large format cameras taking pictures. Not too original, I guess, but it's fun.

My uncle is a photographer and shot LF professionally and as a fine artist for years, and so I always was curious to try LF myself. So a couple weeks ago I bought a 4x5 Wisner Expedition at B&H. The Expedition model is the same as their technical field model but is made of lighter weight material and weighs a couple pounds less. I haven't shot with it yet, as I'm still acquiring all the various lenses and gear that I will need. Later this month I will be at a family reunion with my uncle who is going to bring his Deardorff and give me some LF lessons. Here are some pics of the Wisner, including one taken next to a 5x7/4x5 Deardorff at B&H for comparison.

This is a 180mm lens that I'm going to return. I'm going to get a 150mm. I also picked up a 105mm for wide angle.

You might want to remind Uncle Deardorff
    Definition of avuncular
    1
: suggestive of an uncle especially in kindliness or geniality avuncular indulgence.

Do you have problems with focus creep with the camera pointed downwards?

That camera is one handsome piece of equipment.

No problem with focus creep -- as long as everything is locked down. However, it is a heavy lens -- and I mean heavy -- much like my Fujinon T 600mm f12. They both cause the front standard to bend forward a little. All I need to do is tilt the front standard a little backwards. Problem solved.

Here is a rare bird or so I am told. It is a 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 Toyo View with a 5 x7 back. Another rarity is the lens board adapter which takes Linhof boards. Here shown with my 8 1/4" Wollensak Graphic Raptar and new red bellows.
