Filter size for rear lens element for lens cap purposes

    Hello Friends,

I just took delivery of a Caltar II-N MC 90mm f/6.8 lens, this is the same as the Rodenstock Grandagon II MC 90mm f/6.8. The front element is 67mm filter size. The rear element is approximately 58mm and it is not threaded for a filter.

The Calumet website gives the filter size for the front element. It unfortunately, does not give the size of the rear element.

The lens did not come with lens caps. Does anyone here know the correct size slip on lens cap I should be looking for?

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    Navy Moose

Rodenstock's website says the rear mount diameter is 60mm.

That means you need a 60mm cap. (I compared with one of my Rodenstock lenses)

You need a 60mm push-on cap for the rear. We have them in stock from both Rodenstock and Kaiser so you can easily order one from your dealer.

    Hi Bob,

I was at my local dealer before creating the post. I just checked B&H and they have the Kaiser 60mm slip on lens caps in stock.

Thank you for your help and have a good holiday.

    Sincerely,
