Re: For Friends of Ted Harris

    Amy,

This is one of those times when words fail. Ted will certainly be missed. By his family, friends, and by many, many who enjoyed and benefited from his participation here, and his teachings and writings. His photographic wisdom will continue to benefit those who visit this forum's archives.

And thank you for thinking of us during this time, and letting us know about this sad and sobering news.

Condolences to you and your family.

I only wish I had the chance to have met someone who contributed so much to all of us. Thoughts and prayers are sent your way from the whole community.

Re: For Friends of Ted Harris

As someone who has had a business relationship and friendship with Ted for the past few years, I have to say that he was both a great person, and a great photographer.

Many people don't know that Ted led a very full life in many ways that were completely unrelated to photography, and his insight into people was uncanny. We had many great conversations, most of which had nothing to do with photography.

I can't believe he's gone. I'm at a loss for words, other than to say he will be missed terribly.

My condolences to you and yours, Ted was a first class guy who took the extra time and effort accommodating me on a little deal we made and he didn't know me from Adam. What a shock.

Re: For Friends of Ted Harris

As many here, I am speechless.
Even though we met once and we spoke at the phone a few times, Ted has been an important influence.
Amy,A sudden passing of a dear one is a hard blow but I hope that knowing how Ted was regarded by his peers might contribute to a more comforting mourning.

I am sure this sad news touches all of us in many ways. Please accept our condolences. All of us should make a list of our uncompleted projects and hopefully not be taken by surprise. Frank Bagbey
