Eric Striffler--Gins and Arakawa house on Long Island

Not sure that this is LF work (the lines are nice and straight), but it's some very interesting photography of a very interesting structure--

Looks like they added a surfeit of stripper poles, yet the floors appear difficult to clean. My house is also imbued with tenativeness--I never know when a giant stack of something is going to topple over or when my basement might leak again--maybe I'll live forever, too.

Should "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" be a guiding principle of architecture? I have my doubts.

I like the house, but vacuuming does look like a nightmare.

Reminds me of the house in the movie Beetlejuice and the 'Art' there in!

    Love the bathroom.

But, am I the only one who is reminded of that deserted town in Namibia (aka clichéd photographic travel destination No. 7b)?

Reading this thread makes me wish I hadn't tossed (recycled) that copy of the magazine in a (misguided) attempt at housecleaning...
