I have a graphic view II. 127mm ektar 135mm optar 203mm optar
these all have the approximate lens board size. The 2 lens boards I have for my graphic view are to big.
What should I be looking for in a lens board? Is it a standard? 4X4? I have read that they are the same as a calumet lens board. thanks
Pete: I'm not clear on what you're asking. Do the lens boards you have fit the camera, but have holes too big for the lenses you have?

I don't specifically know the shape of the lens boards you have, but if the hole is too big but the boards are OK and you're not a real stickler for how it looks, you can go to a hadware store or a hobby shop and get some square of aluminum, cut the hole size you need (even those hole saws meant for wood go through soft aluminum) and then pop rivet the new smaller hole to the front of the board. Be careful when you're drilling the hole that the square piece you're drilling into doesn't whirl around on the work bench and cut your fingers, better to hold it down with a clamp. (Voice of experience...) There is a standard hardware size hole saw that is very close to a Copal 1 size. I have done this many times to try out a lens on a particular camera and often they work so well I never get around to doing anything prettier.

I just made one out of wood for my Graphic View II. Quite easy really. I cut a 4x4 sheet out of some Oak but 1/8" plywood will work. Be prepared to break out a sander to make some fine adjustments. I needed to sand the bottom of the boad a little thinner than 1/8" for it to fit properly. Use a compass to mark the hole size on the board and find the closest hole saw. A drum sander or even carful use of a dremmel tool should take care of the rest. Be sure to paint the inside flat black.

Yup, on the advice of another LF forum person (thanks Doug Paramore) I made mine flat. It seems to work fine for me. If you are paranoid and want an extra light baffle, you could cut a smaller square of 1/8" ply (I think it had to be 3 3/4" square to fit the light trap) and glue it to the backside before you cut the hole.
Sorry I can't give you exact measurements, but my camera's at home, not here at my workplace.
