Hey ya'll.
I had the pleasure of visiting my bud Walker Blackwell from Blackpoint Editions to print up my thesis two weeks ago. It's possibly the best set-up ever: farm, wood-burning stove and a piezo setup. I was lucky enough to haul up some of Nick Nixon's negs to have drum scanned. Both with printing and scanning I was absolutely blown away!!!!
Anywho.
My thesis show opens today, Tuesday April 15th and runs through April 24th with a reception Thursday April 17th from 6-8pm (Address follows). I'M FINALLY DONE!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm crazy fortunate to be showing next to Guillermo Srodek-Hart (had an article in View Camera an issue or two ago) and to be included in an amazing group of sculptors and painters.... I am absolutely humbled by their work. I can honestly say that this is one of the most cohesive and well-hung multi-disciplinary shows I've ever seen. . . . if we sucked, I wouldn't be making this announcement.
So if you're in the Boston area, it's definitely worth czeching out the show.
